Lynne Cook of Warner Robins, GA was a Primerica client for 10 years before she decided to try helping families part-time as Primerica representative. “We had already put the Primerica principles in action and had no debt except for our house,” she recalls. “I just wanted to earn an extra $1,500 a month and be with my kids.” After three years of part-time income, she took the leap to full-time. “I earned $68,000 my first year and more than $100,000 my second year, and have never looked back.” Lynne now earns $179,464* a year and has the freedom and flexibility to be there for her family when they need her. “I just grow my business as I go through normal, day-to-day life,” Lynne explains. “Like at karate meets and school events, you’re surrounded by other parents who are trying to figure out how to pay the bills.” For Lynne, small changes added up to a whole-life transformation. If you’d like to learn more about how you can start your own business part-time helping families, ask your Primerica representative about the part-time opportunity.

*Primerica income figures are based upon rolling 12‑month gross cash flow (including advances) as of February 2012. The cash flows stated are not intended to demonstrate the earnings of typical RVPs/representatives. Rather, the cash flows that have been cited reflect the potential that comes with building your business, and there is no guarantee that you will achieve any specific cash flow level. Most RVPs/representatives do not achieve the levels illustrated. In the 12‑month period ending in December 2011, Primerica paid a total of $504,514,944 in compensation to the sales force at an average of $5,544 per licensed representative. Average RVP earnings are typically higher. Actual gross cash flow is, among other factors, dependent upon the size and scale of a representative’s organization, the number of sales and the override spread on each sale, and the ability and efforts of you and your downlines. Having said this, Primerica provides a tremendous opportunity for individuals who work hard and who desire to develop a business with strong income potential.

Have you been fighting the recession by cutting back on your savings? Earn more money to stay on track!

It’s a sobering reality for many: In order to make ends meet, many people are skipping saving for the future. One-in-three workers (33%) say they don’t participate in any long-term retirement savings plans like 401(k)s or Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), and 30% aren’t saving anything month-to-month.*

If you fall into any of these groups, consider another alternative: Earning more money to save for the future. Taking on even a few hours of extra work a month can make a real difference! Many people just like you found a great way to earn extra money for savings by helping families with their finances. You don’t need any special education or skills – just a desire to help people achieve financial freedom. Your Primerica representative can help you get started for very low up-front costs. For example, Lixa Dias, a housecleaner from Jamesburg, NJ, has saved $53,000** for her children’s college education by working part-time as a Primerica representative since she started in 2008!

If you’re among the many people who are skipping saving in order to make ends meet, remember, neglecting your savings can have serious long-term consequences for your financial health! Earning even a few hundred dollars a month as a Primerica representative could really make a big difference to your financial future (see chart below).

You can’t skip your car insurance bill, but you can take measures to lower the price tag.

  1. Drive less. Have you cut down on your driving significantly? If so, you might be eligible for a low-mileage discount. If you don’t report it, your auto insurance company won’t know to cut your rates.
  2. Raise your deductible. While you’ll have to pay more out of pocket should you have an accident, the price reduction in your insurance bill may make up for it. For example, increasing your deductible from $200 to $500 on collision coverage could reduce your cost by 30%.*
  3. Shop around. Thanks to industry competition, there’s never been a better time to find a lower rate for auto insurance by shopping around. Too busy to check? Some services – like Primerica Secure – will do the shopping for you. The average client saves as much as $461 annually on their auto insurance!**

It is with great sadness that we announce that our wonderful friend, Barbara King, has passed away. She was a great friend and one of the true heroes of our company’s great history.

Barbara was a true force of nature and pioneer. She created a legacy that changed the way we do business. Barbara built our communications and corporate relations departments, was the driving force of “Women in Primerica,” and was instrumental in some of the company’s greatest field-related strategic initiatives.

More than that, Barbara was an extraordinary person. Her civic and community service accomplishments were unparalleled. She combined a great intellect and sense of people with a drive and willpower that let her accomplish any objective she set. These qualities — attached to a great heart — let her leave a genuine and lasting impact on this world. There is hardly anyone of importance in Georgia – and in Primerica — who did not respect and like her.

We loved Barbara King, and her profound influence will last at Primerica forever. Read the Gwinnett Business Journal story here.
