The husband has always considered himself as the math wiz, so he never needed any help from Primerica. Recently we were out for dinner with a group and the husband just mentioned that he felt that in order to save money on his homeowners insurance he'd raise his deductible to $1,000. Two weeks after making this change we had a severe hail storm and of course he didn't have the money for the deductible. His house was left covered with a tarp for weeks until he could raise the money. I merely said that Primerica would have at least encouraged our clients to have an emergency fund set aside for possible debts like that. He just looked at me and said what's an emergency fund. I started to explain, and he shrugged me off as soon as he found out I was talking about Primerica. Yep, he's a math wiz. Hello,
