Primerica Attorney Finalist for National Honor
Corporate Secretary magazine has named Primerica’s Stacey Geer as a finalist for its “Governance Professional of the Year Award for 2011.” Geer is SVP, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary of Primerica, Inc. She is responsible for all “public company matters,” which encompass the Board of Directors, SEC disclosure and reporting, issues relating to our outstanding stock, the Annual Stockholders Meeting and corporate governance for Primerica, Inc. and its subsidiaries.
Peter Schneider, General Counsel for Primerica, said, “We hired Stacey in early 2010 to handle SEC reporting in anticipation of our approaching IPO. In hindsight, we now realize that we understood neither the scope nor the importance of the governance role. The finalists for this honor were selected from a long list of nominees. This Governance Professional of the Year recognizes the leading practices and companies in the corporate compliance, governance and legal community. Primerica is very excited that Stacey made the list of finalists, which is a testament to the expertise and dedication she brings to her work.
