Jatinder & Sadhana Bajaj
Upland, CA
Former Occupation: Real Estate Agent

Growing up in New Delhi, India, Jatinder Bajaj, now of Upland, CA, says he has always been very goal driven. “My parents were very prosperous, but it was very important to me to achieve my dreams on my own, without their financial help,” reflects Jatinder. “When I left home to pursue a masters degree in business in Canada, I only had $100 in my pocket.”

It wasn’t easy working three jobs and going to school full time, but his dreams were important to him so he pushed through until he finally graduated. For several years, Jatinder says he worked various jobs, in several different locations, to support his wife, Sadhana, and their growing family. But whatever small successes he found, he knew he could do better – he just didn’t know how.

When he heard about Primerica, he was working as a very successful real estate agent and enjoying a comfortable lifestyle with his family in California. But something was missing. “I was one of the top producers in the company and I was making a good income,” recalls Jatinder. “But I never felt like I was living up to my potential. When I heard about Primerica, it immediately impressed me as a place where we could achieve our goals and dreams without limits. There is unlimited room for growth here – we’re never restricted by a territory or by an employer.”

He continues, “But it wasn’t just the incredible business opportunity that brought us to this company. It was the opportunity to share with others the financial strategies that we’d already been applying to our own lives. The things Primerica stands for – ‘Buy Term and invest the difference,’ the Rule of 72, etc. – are principles we’d been practicing for years. We loved the idea of building a business around helping others to understand those concepts.”

Today, Jatinder and Sadhana are continuing to build a thriving Primerica business as they change lives in their community. “Because of Primerica, we are totally debt free,” enthuses Jatinder. “We live in our ‘dream home’ and have been proud to send each of our three children to the colleges they wanted. We’ve been able to support numerous charities through the years and we intend next to create a charitable foundation in India for the nation’s most needy.”

Jatinder says they’ve built their business and their lives around reaching for big goals – and they plan to continue stretching themselves toward greatness. “There is great power in writing down your goals, reading them daily and working hard to achieve them,” smiles Jatinder. “Sadhana and I prove every day to ourselves and our teammates that if you stay focused on your dreams – and work toward them – you can create something special!”

ATLANTA – The Primerica Convention is back and better than ever, as representatives from all 50 states, Canada and Puerto Rico will pack the Georgia Dome and the Georgia World Congress Center June 15-18.

“It is going to be a great coming together of our business. The past, present and future of our company,” Primerica Co-CEO John Addison said. “It’s going to be unbelievable. The energy level will be amazing.”

The Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau stated last week that the Primerica Convention will have a direct economic impact on Atlanta of more than $44 million.

The event will have an even bigger impact on Primerica, as the company unleashes an unprecedented arsenal of new bombshells:

  • TermNow – revolutionary new term life insurance product
  • Managed Accounts – game-changing new securities product
  • Ground-breaking Technology – including a new web-based Life App, Quick Quote, IBA, totally revamped FNA and the new Primerica App
  • New Brochures – including an all-new How Money Works and many more powerful new marketing tools
  • New Videos – including an all-new Freedom Lives Here DVD, plus the “Why Primerica?” compilation, which gives you everything you need to compete
  • Exciting New Primerica Exhibits – featuring the Primerica Opportunity, Communications & Technology, Product Support, Investment & Savings, the Primerica Store and much more
  • Awesome Workshops, Team Breakout Meetings, Next Generation of Leaders & The Future, Leadership Dinner and much more

The all-star speaker line-up for the Georgia Dome is highlighted by the Friday night opening spectacular with Primerica Co-CEO hosts John Addison and Rick Williams, with a special appearance by company founder Art Williams. Primerica President Glenn Williams will host the Saturday morning session, which will also feature many top field leaders. All sessions, including Saturday night’s grand finale, will feature tremendous recognition.

“It’s great to have Primerica back in Atlanta,” said Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau CEO William Pate. “We knew financial conventions would be back, once things settled down. Now, we’re happy to see that business segment returning with a long-time customer, Primerica, leading the way.”

The Georgia Dome has hosted everything from the Sugar Bowl to the Super Bowl… Paul McCartney to The Rolling Stones… Wrestlemania to The Olympics… but nothing that will “blow the roof off” like the 2011 Primerica Convention.

Primerica representative Susan Price of Riverview, FL, knows what it’s like to lose a loved one. Her son, Gunnery Sergeant Aaron Michael Kenefick, USMC was killed in an ambush in Afghanistan on September 8, 2009.

Susan’s son enlisted in the Marine Corps after his junior year at Roswell High School in Roswell, GA, because he wanted to make a difference in the world.

Although Susan now resides in the Tampa area, she was asked by the town of Roswell, GA, to participate in an honor ceremony during Memorial weekend.

Though the loss of any loved one is tough, the loss of a child is devastating. Luckily for Susan, she discovered Primerica.

“Primerica has added joy and light back into my life,” says Susan. “After God and my family, Primerica gives me new purpose. This new endeavor is my something special to rebuild my new beginnings.

“The people I’ve met through Primerica have been people of the highest caliber. They have dreams that no one can take away from them and an uncommon spirit and zest for life.”

And now through Primerica, Susan can make a difference in others’ lives just like her son Aaron did. She can help educate families about their finances, and help them get the term life insurance coverage they need in case the unthinkable happens to them, just like it happened to her son.

“I believe that my future with Primerica will enhance the lives of many,” Susan enthuses.

Last year, the Shepherd Center admitted 947 people to its inpatient programs and 538 people to its day patient programs. Ranked in the Top Ten rehabilitation hospitals in the nation, they see more than 6,000 people a year as outpatients – and all of them have had spinal cord or brain injuries.

Duane Morrow, Primerica’s Executive Vice President of Field Marketing, visits many of these patients, reminding them that, despite their circumstances, life can still be a full, beautiful experience. A trustee of the board of directors of the Shepherd Center Foundation, Duane hands out copies of his book “Y Not You” and visits with anyone willing to hear his message of hope and gratitude. Duane was once a patient at the Shepherd Center himself.

(To learn more about Duane’s amazing story of survival and recovery, read “The Adventure Continues.”)

Doing What Matters
Now, Duane helps the center because, “life with purpose and significance is a blessed life.” The center gave so much to him, he says, and mentoring people who have the same challenges he once had gives new meaning to his life. “When someone can work to be independent again, witnessing that transformation changes lives and shows people that there is no such thing as impossible,” he says.

He believes so strongly in what the center has to offer that he has become a member of their coveted Bridge Builders Society, meaning he has made provisions for them in his estate plans.

Duane explains, “The people at the Shepherd Center make it different from anywhere else. Their attitude, expertise and willingness to help make all the difference. Plus, the center pushes the limits on technology and research and implement it into aggressive therapy.” That’s why he wants to leave a legacy of service to the organization long after he’s gone. But for now, he’s content knocking on doors and spending a little time helping new patients get accustomed to their “new normal.”

“Every time a friend or therapist asks me to visit with a new patient, I go. I truly believe that I get more out of it than they do – every time. It’s the job I get to do, not one I have to do. There is where I really get paid in the currency that matters most: a life of purpose and significance.”
